Dr. Catherine Halbert Dr. Catherine Halbert, B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D, heads the management team at CFIT.

She trained at Trinity College Dublin, the University of Limerick and University College Cork.

Dr. Halbert is a lecturer at the Food Science and Technology Faculty at University College Cork. She has extensive experience in the Food and Beverage sector in many diverse aspects of the industry including :

 

  • dairy and brewing research and product development
  • co-ordination of National and European research projects
  • commercial food production
  • design and installation of research and commercial plant facilities
  • ISO and HACCP quality systems
  • laboratory and analytical methodology design

Dr. Halbert has a well-established reputation with the food and beverage industry, research institutes, Universities and Institutes of Technology in Ireland and Europe.
